Isn't it a perfect table?
It is called Tulip and was introduced in 1956.
Designed for Knoll International by Eero Saarinen.
Idea was to make a space for legs and body movements.
Eero Saarinen was the son of Eliel Saarinen, the famous Finnish architect and his wife Loja, who was a textile artist. He was born in Helsinki, but soon emigrated to the United States with all his family. Studied sculpture and architecture, practicing at his father's office. He is remembered for designing the TWA terminal at JFK Airport, NY.
